We are so grateful to have celebrated this Advent and Christmas season with you this year!

On December 3, 2023, the ladies of Risen Savior started the season by hosting our first annual Advent by Candlelight service. We were delighted to have 31 ladies from our congregation and community join us!
If you have never heard of Advent by Candlelight, it is a service lead by women for women. It focuses our hearts on the real reason for all the preparation we do as women for Christmas! We hope to make this an annual event, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it a memorable day!

We also enjoyed several midweek Advent services with pre-service dinners, along with our usual Sunday services. On December 16, several members participated in Caroling in the Park, as well as caroling at the two nearby nursing homes we minister to.
We are also grateful to our community who donated to the food drive we initiated so that we could help out the Central Texas Food Bank.
But most of all, we are so happy to have been able to share the Good News of Great Joy with you this season, ultimately celebrating the birth of our Savior in lessons and carols on Christmas Eve and rejoicing on Christmas Day! What a joy it is that the Lord sent his Son in such a humble form to be with us, to die for us, to save us from our sins, so that we could live with him forever!
